Senior Risk Governance Analyst, Financial Services

London Hybrid, Contract, Inside IR35
 
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Second Line Risk team and become part of a high functioning organisation, dedicated to delivering a robust, secure and resilient service.  This role will be responsible for supporting the Risk strategy and delivery models to meet the growth needs of the organisation and for meeting the operational and technical requirements.
 
The Role:
  • Supporting the framework, governance and reporting requirements of the risk function to deliver the  Strategic Risk Management Framework.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Risk Governance and Reporting that are required to support the Framework.
  • Develop and implement a plan for the ongoing risk reporting.
  • Develop the Enterprise Risk MI and reporting.
  • Support the Enterprise Risk team to ensure the Governance of the business and the risk reporting remains up to date, effective and relevant.
  • Work closely with certain 1st line functions to support their overall risk management approach, giving risk guidance where required.   
  • Support senior management and the Board/Audit Committee in ensuring that risks are mitigated to the desired level.
  • Assist in developing risk related training materials, attend training events and help ensure that colleagues at all levels are performing their desired role as per the Risk Framework.
  • Support the implementation of cross-functional initiatives on enterprise risk governance, reporting, policies and procedures.
  • Support other activities in the Enterprise Risk Team as necessary.
 
Skills & Expertise:
  • Good experience of risk management and risk reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of overall risk management policies, process and risk reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Risk best practice.
  • Relevant experience of working in a complex (preferably multi-national) stakeholder environment that includes complex customers and regulators.
  • Ability to articulate themselves clearly and concisely to a broad range of senior and junior stakeholders.
