We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a programme that covers technology delivery and business change initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, strategic oversight, and the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams to achieve the programme’s key objectives.
The ideal candidate would be predominantly focused around drawing out detail and key messages, putting a well governed wrapper around the project, and communicating and engaging with senior functional leaders within the business. Applicants must have recent relevant experience in Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall management and coordination of the Programme, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee delivery of technology solutions and business change activities across multiple workstreams.
- Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, reporting structures, and risk management processes.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including CXO-level executives, to ensure buy-in and timely decision-making.
- Act as the primary point of contact for programme updates, escalations, and strategic discussions.
- Monitor progress across all workstreams, ensuring milestones are met and dependencies managed.
- Drive issue resolution and implement corrective actions where required.
- Manage programme budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure optimal delivery.
- Lead business change activities to support adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Ensure effective communication and training plans are in place for impacted teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale programmes with multiple workstreams.
- Strong experience in technology delivery and business change within complex organisations.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including influencing at CXO level.
- Expertise in programme governance, risk management, and financial control.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, MSP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
The role will be based in Edinburgh, applicants must be able to attend the office 2-3 days per week.
