Risk Analyst, controls testing oversight
We’re seeking a Risk Analyst to support their internal controls testing initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical function within the organisation as they embark on their first round of controls testing.
Role Overview:
As a Risk Analyst, you will oversee and coordinate the testing of internal controls conducted by a team in India. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the testing processes are effective and compliant, while also identifying areas for improvement. This role requires a generalist approach, focusing on foundational risk management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the testing of internal controls conducted by the offshore team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand control objectives and testing requirements.
- Review and analyse testing results, identifying potential failures and areas of concern.
- Provide guidance and support to the team in India to ensure accurate and effective testing.
- Prepare reports summarising testing outcomes, including risks and recommendations for remediation.
- Assist in developing and implementing enhanced testing methodologies for future assessments.
- Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure alignment on risk management priorities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in risk management or internal controls, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Familiarity with internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with offshore teams and manage remote relationships effectively.
- Experience in a generalist risk analyst role or similar position is preferred.
Applicants must be able to attend the Edinburgh office at up to 2 days per week.
Contract will be inside IR35
