We currently have a requirement for a Google Security Operations Consultant to work on an implementation project with one of our financial services clients.  The role requires someone who has previously been involved in a chronicle implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of the Google Chronicle/Google SecOps platform to ensure robust security monitoring and advanced threat detection capabilities.
  • Previous experience with Chronicle implementation.
  • Oversee the monitoring and analysis of security alerts and incidents, ensuring timely and effective responses to potential threats.
  • Provide expert technical support and strategic guidance to the cybersecurity team on Google Chronicle-related issues and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular health checks on the platform, ensuring optimal performance and verifying the connectivity of all log sources.
  • Lead regular audits and assessments to ensure the platform's alignment with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements, and proactively address any compliance issues.
Skills:
  • Proven experience in Google Chronicle/Google SecOps or similar SIEM platforms with its architecture and functionalities.
  • Extensive experience in monitoring and responding to security alerts and incidents.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with a track record of guiding cybersecurity teams.
  • Expertise in conducting platform health checks and ensuring log source connectivity.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational security policies and regulatory requirements, with experience in conducting compliance audits.
