Cyber Data Architect – Financial Services
Location: Sheffield Hybrid 2 days per week
Contract: Inside IR35
Length: 6 Months
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join a client of ours in financial services. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in a fast-paced, agile environment to design and maintain data architecture artifacts. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather documentation and ensure data-centric assurance for architecture changes. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Cybersecurity or financial services processes and regulations, paired with strong collaboration and communication skills to enhance data architecture understanding and adoption across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain existing data architecture artifacts, including Data Flows, ensuring alignment with the overall architecture and roadmap.
- Define and create additional data artifacts, such as Data Models and Data Lineage, to align with existing practices within the Bank.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within the team to enhance the understanding and usage of data architecture.
- Engage with broader teams to ensure accurate representation of data artifacts.
- Provide presentations and documentation to make data architecture artifacts accessible to all.
- Resolve conflicts among stakeholders to ensure the accurate representation of data architecture.
- Partner with other architects, senior engineers, business analysts, and users to integrate data architecture into development work.
- Define and establish Data Quality definitions and practices aligned with existing Bank practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Information Architect, Enterprise Architect, or similar role in software delivery, preferably within Cybersecurity or the financial services/banking industry.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Understanding of Agile and waterfall frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in defining and prioritising data artifacts.
- Proficiency in Agile collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with conflicting requirements and priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Please note this requirement does not support overseas working and will be Inside IR35.
