We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to work with one of our clients on the adoption and scaling of their Enterprise Automation Platform.

This is not a traditional network-automation role. It’s about helping customers re-imagine service delivery across teams—networking, cloud, security, DevOps—through declarative intent and trusted automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and automation scripts.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Automate routine tasks, deployments, and processes using scripting
- Write clear, maintainable, and efficient code under supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Monitor and report on automation test coverage and performance.
- Document code, processes, and user guides.
Expectation
- Deliver code and automation tasks that meet functional requirements and quality standards.
- Show consistent progress in learning new tools and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (stand-ups, retrospectives, etc).
- Collaborate effectively with team members and follow established workflows.
- Take initiative on tasks, flag issues early, and seek help when needed
Additional - Consultative skills
- Ability to analyse existing manual enterprise processes and suggest areas for automation.
- Create cost-based models and justifications for automation initiatives.
- Design and promote automate services within the organisation.
- Plan automation tasks using Agile for automation developers.
Technical Skills
- Fluency in Git (flows, branching strategies, PR reviews) and associated platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- Experience with declarative automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, GitOps workflows)
- Testing: Experience in Test-driven development for infrastructure automation.
- Strong collaborative coding experience in Python
- Solid understanding of enterprise-infrastructure domains: networking (F5, Palo Alto, Fortinet), cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), and CI/CD tooling
- Familiarity with modern service-delivery models (Backstage, IDPs, IaC)
