Application Security Solution Architect

Role overview:

We currently have a requirement for an Application Security Solution Architect for a contact role within the Privileged Access Management (PAM) Team of one of the top names in Financial Services.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Application Architect to join their PAM team to be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and high-performance application design solutions that align with global initiative aimed at uplifting Privileged Access Management controls and capabilities in the organisation.

 

Start Date: ASAP​
Term: 6 Months
Location: Remote (UK).
Role Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

 

Key Deliverables:

  • Managing the end-to-end solution design and responsible for delivering architecture design documents in line with functional and non-functional business requirements, strategies, principles, standards, and patterns.
  • Alongside the creation of high-level designs, will be required to record key decisions, design deviations, and technical risks and issues where appropriate.
  • Presenting and sharing solutions to design authorities and senior leadership & stakeholders.
  • Providing technical thought leadership and direction to aligned project workstream and supporting the wider PAM Design team in producing designs and working solutions.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Cybersecurity expertise, including significant experience and proven technical depth within:
    • Software Application design and development
    • Identity & access management
    • Cryptography
    • Infrastructure
    • Data
    • Cloud
  • Broad background across information technology with the ability to communicate clearly with non-security technical SMEs at a comfortable level.
  • Experience working in large-scale IT transformation programmes.
  • Extensive experience in Application Design and API development.
  • Strong knowledge of the architecture and design of Microservices:
    • Understanding of Microservice orchestration and choreography.
    • Mapping user stories to Microservices.
  • Experience of working in a large Enterprise and Regulatory environments.
  • Experience with Restful API Design, development and integration.
  • Recent Experience working in Financial Services.
  • Working proficiency in Jira for project & tasks management
  • Working proficiency in Confluence for documentation
  • Understanding of front-end technologies such as React and Angular
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as NodeJS/JavaScript.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes pod and container orchestration.
  • Experience with cloud native architectures.
  • BizzDesign, Archi, or generic UML visualisation experience for high-level designs
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms like GCP or AWS.
  • Understanding of database technologies (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc).
  • TOGAF.

 

Please note this requirement does not support overseas working and is Inside IR35.
